THIS PRIVACY POLICY EXPLAINS HOW ROOMISH AI ("WE," "US," OR "OUR") COLLECTS, USES, AND PROTECTS INFORMATION WHEN YOU USE THE ROOMISH AI MOBILE APPLICATION (THE "APP" OR THE "SERVICE").
BY USING THE APP, YOU AGREE TO THE PRACTICES DESCRIBED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE APP.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect personal information such as your name, address, phone number, or biometric identifiers.
We collect only the minimum data required to operate the App and deliver AI-based functionality.
1.1. User Content
- Photos you upload
- Reference images
- Generated results
Your uploaded photos are sent to a third-party AI service for processing. See Section 7 for details.
1.2. Technical Data (Non-Personal)
Collected automatically:
- Device type and OS version
- App version
- Anonymous technical identifiers (Firebase Installation ID)
- Crash logs and performance metrics
- Basic usage analytics
- Persistent device identifier (Keychain-based UUID) used to manage free generation limits and prevent abuse. This identifier is stored locally on your device and transmitted to our servers.
These identifiers:
- cannot identify you as an individual
- are deleted when you uninstall the App, except the persistent device identifier (stored in Keychain) which is retained to enforce free generation limits
1.3. Subscription Data
When purchasing a subscription, we receive:
- Subscription status (active, expired, trial)
- Anonymous transaction identifiers (from App Store)
We never receive or store your credit card details.
2. No User Accounts
The App operates without user accounts or sign-in.
- You do not need to create an account to use the App
- We do not collect email addresses, names, or login credentials
- All users are anonymous
3. How We Use the Data
Data is used solely to:
- operate the App and its AI features
- generate room redesigns and stylized images
- store photos and results in "My Designs"
- maintain performance and fix crashes
- enable subscriptions and restore purchases
- support users who contact us
- enforce free generation limits and prevent abuse
- send your uploaded photos to a third-party AI service to generate room designs — this is the core functionality of the App
We do not use your content for our own AI training or dataset creation. For details on how third-party providers handle data during processing, please refer to their respective privacy policies.
4. Storage and Deletion of Photos and Files
4.1. Photo Storage
Uploaded photos and generated results are stored on our servers to enable the Service.
- Photos are stored in "My Designs" and remain until you delete them
- When you delete a photo from the App, it is permanently removed from our servers
- We do not keep backups of deleted files
4.2. Automatic Deletion After Inactivity
If you do not have an active subscription and remain inactive for 90 days:
- All stored photos and generated results are automatically deleted
- This helps us manage server resources efficiently
If you have an active subscription:
- Your photos and results are retained as long as your subscription is active
- After subscription cancellation, the 90-day inactivity rule applies
We recommend saving important photos and designs to your device before canceling your subscription, deleting the App, or if you plan to be inactive.
If you delete and reinstall the App, your subscription can be restored via App Store (Restore Purchase), but previously generated images and saved designs cannot be recovered. Since the App does not require sign-in, generated content is not linked to a user account and cannot be transferred between installations.
4.3. Immediate Deletion by the User
When you delete a file inside the App:
- it is removed immediately from our servers
- we do not keep backups
- deleted content cannot be restored
5. Subscriptions and Payment Processing
All subscription purchases are processed through Apple App Store.
We receive only:
- Subscription status (active, expired, trial)
- Anonymous transaction identifiers
We never receive:
- Your credit card details
- Your Apple ID email
- Your billing address
- Any payment information
Subscription management (cancellation, refunds) is handled entirely by Apple.
New Users:
- Each new user receives 3 free image generations
- Free generations are granted once per device
- Reinstalling the App does not reset free generation credits
PRO Subscriptions:
- Weekly, monthly, and yearly subscriptions are available
- PRO subscriptions provide unlimited image generations
- Subscriptions do not unlock extra features — they remove generation limits only
Free Trial:
- Weekly subscription: no free trial
- Monthly subscription: 3-day free trial
- Yearly subscription: 7-day free trial
- If not cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription
- During the free trial, you have full PRO access: unlimited generations, no watermarks, and priority processing
Auto-Renewal:
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period
6. Age Requirements
The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not contain age-restricted content.
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent user data.
We only share minimal required data with service providers that help operate the App, such as:
- Google Cloud Platform (cloud hosting and image processing)
- Firebase Analytics and Firebase Remote Config (usage analytics and app configuration)
- Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Google Generative AI services (AI-powered image generation and processing)
These providers cannot use your data for their own purposes.
We may disclose limited information only if required by law.
7.1. Third-Party AI Data Processing
The App uses third-party AI services provided by Google to generate room design variations. When you use any generation feature (Redesign, Reference Design, or AI Recolor):
- Your uploaded room photo is transmitted to Google's AI services for processing
- The AI service processes the image and returns the generated result
- For details on how Google handles data, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy
- By agreeing to the in-app privacy notice, you consent to this data transmission
These providers are contractually required to handle your data in accordance with applicable data protection standards and their own privacy policies, which provide protections consistent with this Privacy Policy.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards:
- encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS)
- restricted access to servers
- automatic deletion processes
- routine monitoring for anomalies
No system is fully immune to risks, but we take reasonable measures to protect stored data.
9. User Rights
Users may:
- delete photos or generated results at any time
- delete the App to remove all data and anonymous identifiers
- contact support for assistance
Since we do not collect or store personal data (no accounts, no emails, no names), certain data protection rights (such as data correction or export) do not apply.
For California Residents (CCPA/CPRA):
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. Categories of information we collect include: device identifiers, usage data, and user-generated content (photos). We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request deletion of your data by contacting support@roomish.ai.
For European Users (GDPR):
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of your data. Our legal basis for processing is legitimate interest (operating the Service) and your consent (uploading photos for processing). To exercise your rights, contact support@roomish.ai.
If you delete the App from your device:
- all anonymous identifiers are removed
- stored photos in "My Designs" will be deleted after 90 days of inactivity (if no subscription)
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
The "Effective Date" at the top will reflect the latest revision.
Continued use of the App after changes means acceptance of the updated Policy.
